Everyone called it before I left…Ravello would be my favorite town on the Amalfi Coast. They were right. The expansive gardens, unbeatable views and quiet streets were a nice reprieve from bustling Amalfi. Only a 20 minute cab ride from our hotel, it was such a fun afternoon into evening adventure.

BEAUTIFUL GARDENS + VIEWS:
SHOP:
Ditta Eva Caruso: Custom made-to-measure sandals.
*Insider tip: do not buy ceramics from the charming factory or shops in town. Go to Vietri sul Mare on your way to the train or airport where everything is half the price! More to come on this.
DO:
Nonna Orsola Cooking School: we didn’t have time to do this but friends have raved about this hands-on cooking class.
EAT:
Rossellinis Restaurant: a fancy dinner option coupled with gorgeous views.
Belvedere (means “lovely view”): Enjoy Mediterranean dishes and views on the outdoor terrace.
Cumpa Cosimo: we opted to eat here where the restaurant scene is out of a movie. Netta, a classic Italian Grandmother, chooses exactly what you’ll eat (I ordered gnocchi but she brought me a plate with 7 different pasta samplers- incredible and cheap!).
STAY:
Belmond Hotel Caruso: The infinity pool and views are breathtaking (see photo below).
Palazzo Avino: don’t miss the Lobster & Martini Bar (over 100 martinis!).
So beautiful. Thank you for sharing these pictures of paradise! 🙂
