I took a strong anti-baby shower stance when I became pregnant. I didn’t want one (a shower that is). Why would I want to waste peoples Saturdays or Sundays? Who wants to go to a baby shower? Baby games? PLEASE NO. When I finally realized that I didn’t have a choice in the matter (hindsight, extremely grateful) my baby shower was planned to take place in September in Connecticut; before I was too big and uncomfortable to make the cross-country trek. Looking back, I learned a number of things: 1) baby showers are actually loads of fun (at least for the expectant mother-to-be); 2) there’s no better feeling in the world than seeing your friends and family so excited for your little one to arrive and 3) having a baby is expensive so you need all the help you can get. I’m pretty sure I was smiling the entire trip back to San Francisco and couldn’t have asked for a better day. So many thanks to my loved ones! Some photos below if you’d like to see:
