One October day last Fall when I was experiencing post- honeymoon depression, a group of us gathered for a Bloody Mary fueled brunch. After our meal, the boys ventured off for a round of golf and the girls packed into my car. We decided to head down to Half Moon Bay for some good old-fashioned pumpkin picking and ended up in the most congested traffic jam. Clearly, we didn’t get the memo about Half Moon Bay’s famous pumpkin festival. Escape routes were non-existent on the two lane, winding road. After a few hours of literally CRAWLING, we decided to stop at the first pumpkin patch we saw. It turned out to be a “discounted pumpkin patch”. All pumpkins were $1 and pretty deformed.
We decided it was time to move on to the next patch and came across one of the most beautiful wildflower fields we’d ever seen. World Famous Photographer, Lou Skayhan got to work:
After a fun-filled photo shoot we ended our day at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay Scotland Coast. We enjoyed some South African wine while overlooking the Pacific. We plan on heading back to the pumpkin capital of the world this weekend and this time we’ve done our homework…
Hi! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through this post reminds me of my old room
mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this write-up to
him. Pretty sure he will have a good read.
Many thanks for sharing!
